Yoel Edelstein receives information about an upcoming Iranian Attack, as a result he decides to evacuate his family as soon as possible from the city which is about to be annihilated
At midnight Yoel Edelstein, receives phone call from his brother, who lives abroad, that tells him that Israel is about to bomb Iran in the next couple of hours. The meaning of this is clear- Iran will retaliate and attack Tel Aviv as soon as tonight. Yoel decides he has to get his family far away from the city, which is about to be annihilated. At first, the family members refuse to believe Yoel, but eventually unify and together they take off on a Comic-Tragic journey toward the Holy city of Jerusalem, each one of them accompanied by his own demons.
As they travel deeper into the night, this Odyssey Yoel’s internal motive for the journey revealed – a farewell from his family.
We are interested to explore and capture the tension between religious fascination with disaster and a sober look at those who believe in it; between pathos and daily life; between the father, off on a heroic journey to save his family, and the mother, chasing after him with his medications.
